Tourism Bureau

In order to provide foreign visitors with the latest travel information, so that they can have fun in Taiwan, the Tourism Bureau establishes a toll-free travel enquiry hotline to provide 24-7 travel enquiry services to foreign visitors in Mandarin, English and Japanese.

The Tourism Bureau Service Center offers travel enquiry services, emergency assistance and travel information to visitors home and abroad.

Flight services/International flights

At present, Taiwan has two international airports, the CKS International Airport in Taoyuan (about 40km from Taipei City) and the KHH International Airport in Kaohsiung. Taiwan has direct flights to major countries in the world, and international air transportation is quite convenient. Most international flights land on the CKS International Airport, except a small amount of flights from Hong Kong and SE Asian countries.

Flight services/Domestic flights

Domestic air transportation is very convenient in Taiwan because there are flights traveling between major cities in Taiwan very often. In fact, taking flights and coaches are equally common in Taiwan, and they are always full on holidays. Therefore, please book the flight from the airline or make the booking and get the ticket through a travel agent in advance.

Ground transportation

The Taiwan High Speed Rail began services in 2006. Currently, the HSR stops regularly at the following 8 stations: Taipei, Bancio, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Taichung, Chiayi, Tainan and Zoying. The total distance is 345km, and the maximum operating speed is 315km. Therefore, it takes about 1:27 to get to Zoying in Kaohsiung from Taipei to shorten the traveling time of passengers.

All lines of the Island-Round Railway Network of Taiwan link up all cities on the island and provide comfortable and safe train services. The variety of trains includes the ordinary train, the Fuhsing, the Chuguang and the Tze- Chichang trains. Visitors can choose different types of trains based on their time, their affordability and the destination of their trips.

Transportation to Lukang, Changhua

Take trains or passenger coaches to Changhua and Taichung; and then take buses of the Changhua Bus to Lukang. Please call to find out the schedule and number of runs.

3.Take the Provincial Highway No. 1 →Turn to the Provincial Highway No. 17 toward Lukang after arriving in Tachia

1.Take the National Highway No. 1 and get off from the Yuanlin Interchange→Turn to the County Route No. 148 to Hsihu→Turn to the County Route No. 135
2.Take the Provincial Highway No. 19 to Hsihu→Turn to the Provincial Highway No. 135
3.Take the Provincial Highway No. 17 to get there.
