Overview

Some concepts must be constructed and health education is needed for postoperative patients of artificial hip replacement. Also, patients must understand the life of the artificial hip and the condition of wear and loosening of the artificial joint in order to understand more about the artificial hip. According to the latest information, thanks to the advancement in material engineering, the artificial joint has a longer life and is more comfortable. Therefore, the aim of periodic follow-up is to discover damage to artificial joints as early as possible. This way, we can make early diagnosis and give early treatment in order to get a better effect of the newly replaced artificial joint.

Surgery timing
In general, surgery is needed when the said indications or symptoms are discovered. The surgery is mainly Total Hip Arthroplasty. Severe sequel may occur for late surgery.

Postoperative precautions
The operative method of the surgeon is how the posture of the affected limb is maintained to prevent dislocation. Patients after a total joint arthroplasty of hip must use a walker to protect the affected limb for 2-3 months to avoid supporting the body weight with the affected limb. Early diagnosis and early treatment: patients must receive long-term periodic follow-ups after the total joint arthroplasty of hip surgery in order to improve living quality.
